Omaha Holdem Poker
Very similar to Texas Holdem , Omaha Holdem poker is also based
on the concept of community and hole cards.
The only main difference being that every player is dealt four hole cards in the first stage and not 2 as in Texas holdem.
In addition the poker hand MUST consists of exactly three community cards and two hole cards.
We shall review the process of a Omaha Holdem Hand :
1) PreFlop + Blinds
Blinds are posted according to the position and four hole cards are dealt face down to each player.
At this point every player has the choice of either fold, call ( the big blind) or raise the big blind. When all bets are called than we move to stage two.
2) The Flop
Three community cards are dealt face up in the middle of the table. These cards can be used by any one of the players to create the best
possible poker hand.(Hence the name community cards).
Now comes another round of betting and we move to step 3.
3) The Turn
A forth community card is dealt face up to the center of the table, Afterwards comes another round of betting.
4) The River
A fifth and final community card is dealt face up, there is a final round of betting and a showdown.
The Player with the best poker hand will win the pot.
