Insurance is a bad bet, don’t take it. The only exception to this rule could be when counting cards
When to stand?
If you are holding hard 17 and the dealer is showing a 7 or lower.
If the dealer is showing 5-6 you should hold any "hard" hand higher than 11.
When holding a soft 19 you should stand.
When to hit ?
If the dealer is showing 2,3 or 7 you should hit hard 12's.
When holding a soft 17 against dealers 10 you should hit.
If the dealer is showing a 10 you should always hit up to 17 at least.
When holding a soft 13 to a soft 17 you should hit against a dealer’s 7 or higher.
Soft 18 could be very tempting to hold on but if the dealer is holding a 9 to ace we suggest that you hit. If the dealer is holding
2,7 or 8 you should stand and anything else you can double!
When to Double?
You have 11 and dealer does not show an ace.
You have 10 and the dealer is not showing a 10 value card or an ace.
You hold a 9 and a dealer is showing 3 to 6.
When to split or NOT to split?
Always split aces, if allowed and the dealer does not show an ace you should also double afterwards.
8's should always be split.
Never split 3,4 or any 10 value cards.
General Blackjack tips
The blackjack tips we gave above mainly focused on which moves to do when. We will now try to focus more on how to approach the game of blackjack in terms of mental
preparedness and stability.
On of the best blackjack tips we can gave you, and it is in fact a general gambling tip is to stay cool.
I know it sounds trivial but anything from a 3 hand bad beat
or an annoying "table neighbor" could distract your games. Some players even tend to take out their anger on the dealer. So our tip to you is so, star relaxed, if the dealer
is dealing you many bad hands move to another table. If the cigarette smoke for the annoying man next to you is bothering you than also move. And remember, the dealer
is just doing his job, he's not out there to hurt you!

Don’t be shy you can ask the dealer or read the help pages, it will prevent any uncertainties later on. You might find your self in situation where you could have surrendered your hard 15
against the dealer's 10 but didn’t know you can. If you are feeling in secure or "freshman feeling" than start off slow, either very small blackjack tables or even a video blackjack
machine.
Choose good tables, look for the Blackjack variation that fits you best. Some have
better odds than others, you should always look for the best odds!
Go for the empty table! The odds when playing against the dealer alone are high contrary to common belief. If you are feeling confidant
than just go for it!
As any form of gambling, when you play blackjack you have to restrict yourself, play , have fun but don’t gamble anything you will not be able to live without. Don’t gamble when you
not in control, could be alcohol or stress. Only play blackjack when you are calm.
