Blackjack money management
So you have learned how to play blackjack, now it tome to start playing. But what about our money, like everything in the
game of blackjack we should plan how and when we spend our gambling funds. This is called "Blackjack money management". We will
try to provide a system for both offline and online Blackjack money management. Using these easy to follow guidelines you
will be able to raise your chances of winning and minimizing the chance of unfortunate losses.
Don’t think of Blackjack money management as just planning ahead how much you are going to spend tonight or "should I bring
my credit card or cash". Think of it more in terms of "keeping you money" or how to prevent your self from falling into the casinos
house advantage. It may not big a big one but even that half percent can lead your bankroll exactly to 0 if you are not careful.
So let’s get started! This is a list of guidelines we have assembled to help improve your Blackjack money management skills :
1) Set yourself a goal - before you sit at the table decide how much you winning goal is. Get up and walk away the second you reach it!
2) Limit your spending - have a limit to how much you spend at the casino.
3) Be fully capable and focused - don't play if you are tired, drunk distracted etc'.
4) Choose the right table - the betting minimum should be 5% of your bankroll. For example if you have $100 to play with
sit at the $5 blackjack table.
5) Accept bad beats - Sometimes there are strokes of bad luck, accept them as part of the game and carry through. Alternatively
you can take a break or even call it a night!
6) "I got to win it back - NO NO NO, if you lat a bunch of hands in a row don’t raise your bet. Take a break!
7)Set your pace - You have to set your betting structure to the bankroll you have or the amount you allocated for the game.
If you have $100 for the night doesn’t sit at the MIN $50 blackjack table!
8) Use winning streaks but quit while ahead! - sometimes you will win 15 hands in a row, continue playing but when you loose
three hands it's time to leave!
Betting structure methods
We have chosen to tell you about two simple and easy to use betting systems that we feel work well.
1) 50% progression - The trick here is to increase your bet by 50% for each hand you win. Zeroing out when you lose a hand.
This is quite an aggressive method but proved it self well and is easy to use. You would need an initial bank roll
of 100 times the initial bet. (For a $5 minimum table you would need to start with $500)
2) 1,2,3,5 progression - here if you started with a $5 bet and kept on winning you would increase as following : 5,10,15,25
max bet. You would not pass $25 bets and would go back to $5 bets win loosing a hand. This system requires the same bankroll as
the 50% method but is much more conservative as it is "limited".
